A Day at the Fire Station

We went to our local fire station for Fire Safety Week yesterday.  The firemen were very kind and made it so fun for the kids.  They gave us a complete tour through the fire station and explained what kind of equipment they use.  It was a wonderful day for the kids, and I know we'll look forward to coming back again next year!  Later we brought them some homemade cookies as a thank you for giving their time. 

Be sure to pray for your local firemen.  They are the unsung heroes of the community.  Today, firemen are called upon to do so much more than just fires.  They work to save lives in all kinds of disaster situations, and are here to be servants and ministers when people are in need.  They give and risk so much, but how often do we stop and think about it and take the time to say thank you?
